A very beautiful 1935, Type 57 Stelvio of a rare design.
This actual car is the first Bugatti I had the opportunity to drive,
under the guidance of owner Roger Forster.

The Bugatti Type 57 is really the cream of Bugatti sports cars.
The Type 57 exists in the models 57, 57C (super-charged), 57S (sport chassis), and 57SC, plus the racers. The existence of Type 57SC is disputed, though. Apparently no car was officially called Type 57SC. All "sport chassis" Type 57 for street use were called Type 57S, super-sharged or not. Actually only two Type 57S were super-charged at delivery from the factory, but some were later fitted with super-chargers at the factory. Today the Type 57SC designation is often used on super-charged Type 57S's, being it correct or not.

In 1937 a Type 57S chassis cost FF 100,000, with a Atalante body 140,000. (If this was before or after the devaulation, I do not know.)

Type 57 was a luxurious sports car, and was dressed in many different beautifully designed bodies, some from the factory, but many were dressed by external body shops. No Bugatti Type came in so many flavours. I have sorted this into different groups:
