Type 10, "petit pur-sung", the very first Bugatti prototype, is today in the US.

During his time at Deutz (around 1908) Bugatti produced, at his own expence, (and, it is told, in the cellar of his home in Köln) the lilliput-chassi that would be the basis for his later thorougbred-constructions.
This is Type 10 in the Bugatti series.
There are some saying that this car is much inspired by Coupe des Voiturettes Isotta Fraschini of 1908. And other are convinced it is not.
In 1909 Bugatti had solved the financing problem, and was able start his own production, with types 13, 15 and 17.
