1930 Type 41 Royale 'Coupe Napoleon', France. Styling/body: Jean Bugatti The first to be built on the Royale chassis. The styling was inspired by horse-drawn carriages and was meant to be chauffeur driven. The car was used by the Bugatti family for many years and is now at the National Museum in France. engine: 12783cc (12.8 litre) monoblock 8-cylinder in-line, 2 sparkplugs/cylinder, 1 Bugatti-type carburettor power: 260 bhp @ 1700 rpm torque: 200 nm top speed: 160+ km/h brakes: cable operated transmission: 3-speeds forward, reverse dimensions: 4.3 m wheelbase, 1.6 m track wheels: cast aluminum The Royales were built for kings but no kings purchased them.
